Th is is a LGL (Laboratoire de Genie logiciel) project at EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). It consist in interfacing a COOPN program translated in Java with a Lego construction controlled via 2 Motors and 3 Sensors (see Lego Mindstorm specification).

In order to do so we had to write an API to control the motor and get the sensor value using the RCX tower plugged to the computer serial port, see the software page for more details.

For testing and demonstrating all this, we programmed and constructed a simple elevator in lego, see the Hardware page for more details.

After this has been done succesfully, it has been used as a demonstration for high school students who have attended the open day of EPFL to give an idea of what are the EPFL and its IT studies.
