NCCR Women Campaign
Meet the NCCR women! To celebrate the 50th anniversary of women obtaining the right to vote in Switzerland, we will introduce you to some women working in Swiss research institutes.
From Women’s Day on March 8th, to October 31st - the 50th anniversary of the women's vote in Switzerland, our female colleagues will be showing you who they are, what they do and why they do it.
An NCCR, or National Centre of Competence in Research, is a group of scientists based in different parts of Switzerland that work together to solve a problem or question.
Currently there are 22 NCCRs focusing on almost any topic: quantum physics, using robots to make architecture more sustainable, to the physical causes of mental illness and the origin and evolution of planets.
Follow us on YouTube and Instagram and the hashtag #NCCRWomen and meet women who work in research in Switzerland. The National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCRs) are a funding scheme of the Swiss National Science Foundation.
