The chain of hotels CATALONIA is offering us special prices for some of their hotels that are located closest to the UPC North Campus or in the city center. The offer concerns the following six hotels: To make a reservation at any of these hotels, please send the following form by fax (+34 932360026) or by e-mail to the hotel, To make a reservation in any other hotel of this international chain of hotels, you can have a look at the Catalonia Hotels' website.

The UPC residence

Another option is the TORRE GIRONA RESIDENCE, which is just at 5 minutes walking distance to/from the conference location. This residence is located in one of the most quite and exclusive areas in Barcelona, nearly inside the Campus Nord (Northem Campus) of the UPC, in the district of Pedralbes. It works also as a hotel and its prices are quite cheap in relation to other hotels in the city. The residence was inaugurated in september 2002, as part of a deal with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. There are three different types of rooms: single rooms (approx. 50 euros), double rooms for individual use (approx. 56 euros), and double rooms for 2 people (approx. 82 euros/room).

Each room disposes of fully equipped kitchen (fitted with electrical stove plates, smoke extractor and refrigerator, kitchen utensils and all kind of appliances to clean), complete bathroom, heating and air conditioning, TV, telephone, and free Internet connection. There are also rooms that have been specially designed for handicapped persons.

Other options

Barcelona has a great offer for accommodation. In any tourist guide you will find plenty of hotels and hostels to stay.

The Tourism office of the city hall offers in its website some information about the main accommodation options of each neighborhood of the city. The UPC is located in the neighborhood called Pedralbes. Other neighborhoods relatively close to UPC are Sarrià, Les Corts, and Sants.
