This
approach is based on the matching of antenna aperture with the image spatial
spectrum directly during radar imaging. The typical image and its spatial
spectrum are shown below. One can observe the directions of the principal
image components due to the specific orientation of edges and textures
in the image.
The
goal is to estimate the directions of principal image spatial spectrum
components based on small size aperture H1 and then to adopt the geometry
of array H2 to the above directions. Image restoration algorithm
performs the final image reconstruction based on the image g1 obtained
by the small size antenna and g2 obtained by the adaptive aperture antenna
array.
