COST Action TU0801 - Semantic enrichment of 3D city models for sustainable urban development
The main objective of the Action is to semantically enrich 3D city models with urban knowledge and models, so as to extend their functionality and usability in a perspective of sustainability.
This Action will (1) create an integrative platform based on semantically enriched 3D city models, (2) use an ontology-based methodology that could be reused (3) assess the usability of the integrated platform for planning and decision-making.
Ontology-Based Precise Multilingual Information Retrieval
The project addresses the problem of building Precise Information Retrieval System to access the contents of multilingual document collection. Its aim are: i) to extend our ontology-based approach for multilingual information retrieval by proposing techniques to disambiguate documents and queries, ii) to extend our ontology-based precise information retrieval system that develop techniques to discover and take into account dimensions from the user queries, iii) to take into account the context of each query and document for building a precise information retrieval system.

Formalisation et sens du projet architectural / Formalization and meaning of the architectural project
This follow-up project has two main aims: 1) to integrate the tools and techniques developed in the initial project into a common extensible and open architectural project environment; 2) to develop new theoretical results to deal with important issues such as flexible constraint resolution, open and closed world reasoning, combining spatial reasoning and inference rules, or finding new relations between architectural co-variants.
The architectural project environment will be built around a common knowledge
base that represents general architectural knowledge, knowledge relative to a particular
style, and factual knowledge about the current pro ject. Some part of the knowledge
will also be stored as inference rules and algorithms. A computational layer will provide
reasoning services such as subsumption and instance checking, abduction, rule evaluation,
etc. , together with project-oriented services : shape generation, constraint resolution,
semantic classification. The user interface will be comprised of a logical editor (to work on
the ontological part of the knowledge base) and an interactive drawing tool (AllWright).
This tool will enable a designer to create and update the components (syntax) of a
pro ject and to invoke computational services to reason about the current project or
propose solutions to specific problems.
