[edit] A Semantic Digital Library of Urban Models and Resources
The aim of this project is to create a semantic digital library system for storing and interconnecting urban models and re-sources. The term semantic refers here to the fact that each model will be semantically described by linking it to the concepts it deals with. These concepts will be found in an conceptual layer made of several aligned ontologies. An ontology of 3D city objects (derived from CityGML) will be at the heart of the conceptual layer.
The digital library will also store interconnection resources that indicate how to interconnect two models. A particular care will be devoted to defining several types of interconnectors, such as concept mappings, articulation (mediator) concepts, but also algorithmic data mapping (pipes and filters), etc.
The library will be equipped with a web interface through which users will import models and resources, search and compare them, build and store interconnection resources. The usability and usefulness of the system will be demonstrated by using it to assemble a 3D visualization tool that will display, within a 3D city model, results obtained from other models, such as air quality, transport, or energy consumption.
[edit] COST Action TU0801 - Semantic enrichment of 3D city models for sustainable urban development
The main objective of the Action is to semantically enrich 3D city models with urban knowledge and models, so as to extend their functionality and usability in a perspective of sustainability.
This Action will (1) create an integrative platform based on semantically enriched 3D city models, (2) use an ontology-based methodology that could be reused (3) assess the usability of the integrated platform for planning and decision-making.
[edit] Ontology-Based Precise Multilingual Information Retrieval
The project addresses the problem of building Precise Information Retrieval System to access the contents of multilingual document collection. Its aim are: i) to extend our ontology-based approach for multilingual information retrieval by proposing techniques to disambiguate documents and queries, ii) to extend our ontology-based precise information retrieval system that develop techniques to discover and take into account dimensions from the user queries, iii) to take into account the context of each query and document for building a precise information retrieval system.

[edit] Formalisation et sens du projet architectural / Formalization and meaning of the architectural project
This follow-up project has two main aims: 1) to integrate the tools and techniques developed in the initial project into a common extensible and open architectural project environment; 2) to develop new theoretical results to deal with important issues such as flexible constraint resolution, open and closed world reasoning, combining spatial reasoning and inference rules, or finding new relations between architectural co-variants.
The architectural project environment will be built around a common knowledge
base that represents general architectural knowledge, knowledge relative to a particular
style, and factual knowledge about the current pro ject. Some part of the knowledge
will also be stored as inference rules and algorithms. A computational layer will provide
reasoning services such as subsumption and instance checking, abduction, rule evaluation,
etc. , together with project-oriented services : shape generation, constraint resolution,
semantic classification. The user interface will be comprised of a logical editor (to work on
the ontological part of the knowledge base) and an interactive drawing tool (AllWright).
This tool will enable a designer to create and update the components (syntax) of a
pro ject and to invoke computational services to reason about the current project or
propose solutions to specific problems.
