Information Fusion for Multimedia: exploiting Feature Interactions for Semantic Feature Selection and Construction
Abstract :
Due to the increased availability of multimedia data and the underperformance of content-based approaches, the joint processing of multimodal data received a lot of attention in the last decade. The work proposes a semantic attribute selection and construction algorithm that can adapt different fusion strategies depending on the data structure that underlies a learning target. A classification experiment on annotated images shows the effectiveness of the approach.
