Healthcare is broken, SOS: Service Our Seniors
With Serge Grisard, Entrepreneur in Life Sciences and Technology, Director at MyAmego.com

Abstract:
The costs of healthcare systems are spiraling across the world, in developed and developing countries alike. Loss of autonomy of chronic disease patients create a huge burden on their relatives and the society. The problems are acknowledged by most as urgent and important, they make the top of the political agenda in several countries and the EC allocate large resources to R&D in the field. Top scientists and technologists regularly come up with new devices and systems, hoping to enable some lightening of the load. And still, most of their potential benefits have not reached us yet.
A critical link is still missing: user-centred SERVICES; designing preferably automated processes and commercial models to deliver the benefits of existing technologies into the lifestyles and budgets of these concerned.
A short lecture will lay out the size of the issue, review the state of the technology, and explore existing services and options for new ones.
The room will be equipped with a wireless monitoring system. It will be demonstrated first, then used to recreate with the audience the process of building/inventing a powerful user-centred service.
