Status

I am a post doctoral fellow from the Swiss National Science Foundation with Prof. William Hersh at the DMICE department of Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, OR, US.

I'm leading a user study to improve Medical Image Retrieval (MIR) by better understanding the information needs and motivations of users, investigating the useful systems' features in MIR, and building a real-world test collection to help both users and systems.
I'm also co-organizing the imageCLEF 2009 medical retrieval task, which is part of the Cross Language Evaluation Forum (CLEF).
